A) Bacteria
B) Virus
C) Intestinal worm
Answer: Idea
Resilient. Highly contagious.
Once an idea has taken hold of the brain, it’s almost impossible to eradicate. An idea that is fully formed, fully understood, that sticks.

An idea can be mutualism or parasitism.

Memorization vs
Deep Understanding

When I study at high school,
I don't like memorization,
I crave deep understanding,
but most teacher are opt for memorization,
I never fail at any exam until I received my physics paper marked score with red color,
whole textbook is filled with just theory and formula,
no story about apple falling from a tree, atomic bomb whatsoever,
so my strategy are increase study time and memorization.
I arrived at 7am, other people go back at 1pm,
but I continue to study at school library until 7pm.
I did my best, sometimes I still have nightmares preparing for exams,
Physics B+, Chemistry C+, Biology A-, Math A
I was disappointed for physics and chemistry,
memorization doesn't work well with these subjects,
I have a great biology teacher though,
hardwork on Math is paid off.

"When you deeply understand something, you're not going to un-understand it, it's the nature of truth that once you see it once you learn it you don't unlearn it because it's true that certain truth is indestructible knowledge in your mind it can only be replaced by a better truth." Naval Ravikant

Grit

My business is up and down,
Herbalife doesn't provide base salary,
the only way to make a income is through retail and commission,
my sales was not good, I was constantly in survival mode,
"your business not doing well because your number is not enough" speaker on stage
OK then, I gonna work my ass off,
looking back now, I'm still apply same strategy to my business same with study,
more work should lead to more sales, make senses right?
indeed I was top person to get the most amount of lead every week,
but sadly that didn't translate into more sales.

A podcast change my life

2019 December, the world is entering a new decade,
London Real Podcast interview a doctor with bald hair titles "How not to diet",
my first reaction is "WTF not gonna waste my time on this guy"
"How about let's see how terrible his advice are and what snake oil he's got"
I'm grateful that I open-minded enough to click into the video,
the podcast is featuring Dr.Michael Greger from nutritionfacts.org,
his video showcase scientific studies with references,
treasure trove of information bury in literatures,
I became a sponge, absorbed all the videos uploaded at nutritionfacts.org,
it changed my entire worldview.
